In this course, students will develop their ability to (1) read and interpret research articles on second language learning (2) critically analyze and/or develop teaching materials based on their understanding of theory.
授業概要
This course focuses on the teaching method, task-based language teaching. Students will read, present, and discuss research articles that investigate the effectiveness of task-based language teaching, especially within the context of Japanese schools, and especially with relation to young learners. In the second half of the term, students will carry out a project related to analysis and/or development of teaching materials.
